Apple Begins Manufacturing Test Of Processors With TSMC A6

Apple began working with chipmaker TSMC to begin production testing of next generation processors A6, going the distance with headquarters in Cupertino to compete with Samsung for a non-competitive seller, reports Reuters.

TSMC can give the green light to mass produce the new processor, Apple should be able to make chips in large quantities with minimal defects. Reports had already suggested by the manufacturer in Taiwan, the world's largest maker of microprocessors, has set out to become a provider of Apple with a lawsuit against the latest Samsung likely to force the pace.

The sources said the new processor, Apple can not be called the A6, although it is the logical successor to Apple chip A5.

Sources told Reuters:

TSMC has received all permits and information ready. The Apple make a formal order will depend on the rate of return.

Analysts said that the abandonment of Samsung will be difficult because the seller Korea was "deeply involved from the start and has some intellectual property." Apple can change the order of a new supplier, but it is likely that Apple and Samsung will continue to maintain a close relationship, despite the pending litigation between the companies.
