Samsung announced today that it has postponed the launch of its Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets in Australia, reports Gizmodo. The launch was for next Thursday, August 11th.
After Apple has started proceedings to ban the sale of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia, Samsung said Monday it voluntarily stop selling the U.S. version of the tablet, but go ahead with the launch of an Australian version. The announcement ended, at least temporarily, to the appearance of a tab of 10.1 Galaxy in Australia at all.
Given the legal proceedings against Apple Inc., Samsung Electronics France Samsung regrets to announce that it will report the media launch, scheduled for August 11, 2011, the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Samsung will announce a new date for Tab 10.1 GALAXY media launch as soon as possible.
The statement suggests that Samsung hopes to bring Galaxy lose in the Australian market in time, but at this point it looks like it will be after the trial is set.
Apple filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Samsung in Australia, saying it violates the Galaxy Tab 10 of its patents, including the look and feel "of the Apple iPad.
